The Perfect Three Day Weekend Spot

Living on the east coast, there's only a good three months to soak up the sun and enjoy the beach cities.  Over on this side of the coast, Maine is one of the most popular states for fellow travelers to go to.  There's beautiful small beach towns, one in particular called Old Orchard Beach that I've been going to for years with my entire family.

This year, we decided to do something new and away from the ocean, which led us to visit Portland, ME.  Spending a couple days in this quaint city was just what the doctor ordered.  It's small enough to be able to walk everywhere, but big enough to see something exciting on every corner.  The best neighborhood in Portland is Old Portland which is filled with originals buildings and cobblestone walkways.  There were family owned coffee shops on every street, and not to mention gourmet donuts!

One of my favorite spots was a Wine Bar called MJs Wine Bar.  It was right near Old Portland, and had a variety of wines along with a small menu with delicious cheese plates.
